Heat Pumps

If you’re looking for a versatile way of heating and cooling your space, then heat pumps are the ideal choice. Here at KES Facilities, our engineers are highly-qualified and trained to industry standards – we can install, repair and service bespoke heat pump equipment to meet your needs.

What is a Heat Pump?

Heat pumps move air between inside and outside spaces. They can move cold air inside and warm air outside to keep you cool, or can replace cold air with captured heat energy from the air outside to provide heating. There are three types:

Air source heat pumps – to heat your home, air source heat pumps draw energy from the air outside and move it between the indoors and outdoors

Ground source heat pumps – these types of pumps draw heat energy from the ground and use it for hot water, heating, and cooling

Exhaust air heat pumps – as warm air passes through ventilation systems, exhaust air heat pumps reuse it for heating and hot water

Heat pumps are a renewable source of energy. Not only is it more environmentally-friendly, you’ll also save money on your energy bills, too.

In the UK, the government have set up Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) schemes, for commercial and domestic properties. This encourages people to use renewable energy sources in the home and workplace in return for financial incentives.
